MASUYA INTERNATIONAL Restaurants
Masuya founded in 1993. Since the intensive renovation in 2006, the interior décor designed by the architect Robart Toland has been delighting both Japanese and Australian patrons. The design is inspired by the red colour used for stages of Kabuki, a traditional form of Japanese dramas. We named the colour Kabuki Red,and used it for the 5 metre long sushi bar, where the customers can enjoy more than 15 different kinds of fresh fish straight from the market. Please enjoy your meals with hand picked wines and sophisticated atmosphere.
The beautiful interior décor consists of carbon walls and a high ceiling with glamorous curved lines. Please enjoy our fresh fish of the season from the fish market that are hand picked every morning. Since its opening in 2004, Makoto Chatswood has become a local favourite. Even though there are only 57 seats, we welcome 500 customers daily. Apart from our famous sushi, other a la carte and speciality desserts prepared in the upstairs kitchen are also popular.
Our new style restaurant 'Miso' was born on 10 March 2008, Our friendly and welcoming staff are keen on learning about organic vegetables and well-balanced nutritious diet in order to serve healthy and delicious meals that are good for both body and soul. Our 15 different kinds of take-away menus are enjoyed by local people. We are hoping to provide the premises as a community space on Sundays for flower arrangement and Japanese tea ceremony in the future.
